The treatment of various ailments by means of current is called electrotherapy.
There are various types of therapeutic currents. Constant direct current is more accurate while the constant voltage current is more comfortable.

The treatment by ray is called Actinotherapy. e.g. Infrared radiations, Ultraviolet rays, Ultrasound and Short Wave Diathermy etc
